The 2009 Integration & CRM report from NDL is in its 6th year and this year is the largest survey ever with 243 authorities taking part. NDL interviewed, during July and August, e-Government and IT Managers throughout England, Scotland and Wales. This comprehensive report looks at a host of issues facing local authorities from the benefits derived from CRM systems, NI14 and NI195, Code of connection and routes to integration and middleware to name a few.

Nearly 75 per cent of local authorities have achieved savings by investing in CRM technology. In addition, more than 50 per cent have seen real improvements in customer service through integrating front and back-office systems.

These are two major findings of NDL’s fifth annual report into CRM Systems and Integration. We’d like to thank all those who took part in this survey: in total 184 local authorities from England, Scotland and Wales were interviewed.

ndl-metascybe is to use the Socitm Annual Conference (Belfast 14th to 16th October) to launch our fourth survey into Integration and CRM adoption within UK Local Authorities. In what promises to be our most far reaching investigation so far, we will not only bring our previous findings up to date, but also look into previously uncovered areas. ndl-metascybe launches CRM Survey findings at Socitm 2005

For the second year running, we have surveyed Local Authorities and their use of Customer Relationship Management systems. Despite continuing pressure from Government to provide a more integrated service to the public, most authorities say that their CRM have fallen short of expectations.
