Trafford Housing Trust trusts Lagan to transform services
5 October 2009 - Trafford Housing Trust, an independent housing trust, has announced that it is to adopt software supplier Lagan’s Enterprise Case Management solution to support its strategic transformation programme, using NDL’s universal integration platform to access core central applications.
Trafford Housing Trust is an independent housing company set up by the government following the stock transfer of homes under the previous ownership of Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council. They are a not for profit, registered charity that exists to supply and manage quality affordable homes, and to give housing advice and support to people in housing need, primarily within the Trafford area.
Trafford Housing Trust manages over 9,000 properties in South Manchester, and its programme of service improvements, designed to improve the social housing experience, will be underpinned by Lagan’s Power Enterprise Case Management solution.
Martin Saunders, Director of Transformation at Trafford Housing Trust explains that the organisation selected Lagan in a rigorous competition because of its clear expertise in the housing sector: “We are looking to transform the way in which we deliver services to our customers, and we needed a proactive partner with a deep understanding of what we want to achieve, and who would be able to bring its own experience and recommendations to the table. Lagan clearly displayed a commitment to work closely with us to fundamentally improve the social housing services we provide. The new system will provide us with real insight into our overall performance and how we can enhance the quality of service we provide to our customers.”
Trafford Housing Trust will use the Lagan solution to implement its ambitious plans to integrate front and back office operations, thus streamlining interaction with its customers, contractors and other agencies. The aim is to make it as simple as possible for customers to contact the trust easily using the channel they choose, and experience a quick and efficient response to their query. Lagan Enterprise Case Management will provide Trafford Housing Trust with a holistic view of each ‘case’ rather than disparate incidences of an event, so that front line staff will, for example, see immediately if a customer calling to report a repair is also in arrears. The project will use NDL’s awi universal integration platform to access the core housing management and document management systems, providing staff with access to a wealth of information which will enable them to resolve many queries at the first point of contact. This is expected to yield significant cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Phil Murray, Lagan’s Executive Vice President, UK and Europe comments, “The Lagan solution has been specifically tailored to meet the requirements of social housing providers, yet has the flexibility and scalability to meet customers’ different and evolving needs. We are confident that Trafford Housing Trust, and the people it serves, will very quickly see a good return on their investment in terms of both efficiency improvements and cost savings.”
Trafford Housing Trust joins a growing number of social housing providers to enjoy the benefits of Lagan’s Enterprise Case Management solution, including Tristar Homes in Stockton-on-Tees, Sheffield Homes and Hounslow Homes.
